Luxury Lane Car Rental (Private) LimitedEffective 18 August 2026

1. About these Terms

“Luxury Lane”, “we” and “us” mean Luxury Lane Car Rental (Private) Limited. “Customer” and “you” mean the person requesting or purchasing a service. A quotation, booking confirmation, vehicle inspection record and any service-specific conditions form part of the agreement. If a signed rental agreement conflicts with these website Terms, the signed agreement controls for that rental.

2. Quotations and booking confirmation

Website prices are not binding unless stated in a written quotation. A reservation becomes confirmed only when Luxury Lane issues written confirmation after checking availability, customer eligibility, required documents and any required deposit or payment. Quotations expire on the stated date and may change if dates, route, vehicle class, passenger numbers or requirements change.

3. Customer eligibility and documents

Self-drive customers must meet the minimum age and driving-experience requirements stated in the quotation or rental agreement and present an original, valid driving licence accepted in Zimbabwe, identification and any other requested document. Luxury Lane may refuse handover where documents cannot be verified, information is materially inaccurate, payment is incomplete or lawful safety requirements are not satisfied.

4. Vehicle use and customer duties

The authorised driver must use the vehicle lawfully, safely and only for the agreed purpose and territory. Unless approved in writing, the vehicle may not be driven by an unauthorised person; used for racing, driver training, towing, illegal activity or commercial passenger carriage; overloaded; driven while impaired; or taken outside Zimbabwe. The customer must protect keys and documents, use the specified fuel, check warning indicators, secure the vehicle and promptly report faults, accidents, theft or damage.

5. Collection, inspection and return

The parties should record the vehicle condition, fuel level, mileage and accessories at handover and return. The vehicle must be returned at the agreed place and time in substantially the same condition, allowing for fair wear and tear. Approved extensions must be confirmed in writing. Additional time, fuel, cleaning, recovery, missing items, traffic charges or repair costs may be charged where the signed agreement or quotation permits.

6. Chauffeur, transfer and tour services

Pickup times and routes depend on information supplied by the customer. Customers must provide accurate flight, location, passenger and luggage details and be ready at the agreed time. Journey times are estimates and may be affected by traffic, weather, road conditions, border procedures or events beyond reasonable control. Third-party accommodation, activities, guides or venues may apply their own terms and remain responsible for their own services.

7. Payment, deposits and security

Amounts, currency, due dates, accepted methods, deposits and security requirements are stated in the quotation or rental agreement. Luxury Lane does not presently take payment through this website. Never make payment to an account that has not been verified through Luxury Lane’s official contact details. Refund timing may depend on the original payment method and any outstanding inspection, damage or charge assessment.

8. Cancellation, changes and no-shows

Cancellation and amendment rules are stated in the quotation because vehicle allocation, chauffeurs and third-party bookings differ. Where no special rule is stated, Luxury Lane will assess reasonable costs already incurred and services already supplied. A failure to arrive or provide required documents may be treated as a no-show. Nothing in these Terms removes a consumer remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.

9. Accidents, breakdowns, fines and loss

In an accident, breakdown, theft or loss, contact Luxury Lane immediately, follow reasonable safety instructions, notify police where required and do not admit liability or arrange repairs without approval except for an emergency needed to prevent further harm. The customer remains responsible for fines, tolls and offences arising from their use. Liability for damage, theft and insurance excess is governed by the signed rental agreement, applicable cover and law.

10. Liability and uncontrollable events

Luxury Lane does not exclude liability where exclusion is unlawful. Subject to that rule, neither party is responsible for indirect or unforeseeable loss. Luxury Lane may suspend, replace or reschedule a service where performance is prevented by severe weather, road closure, civil disturbance, government action, mechanical safety concerns or another event beyond reasonable control, and will communicate reasonable alternatives where practicable.

11. Complaints and disputes

Please raise a concern promptly with the booking reference and supporting information so Luxury Lane can investigate. The parties should first attempt good-faith resolution. These Terms are governed by the laws of Zimbabwe, and disputes may be taken to a competent Zimbabwean court or lawful consumer-resolution forum. Mandatory rights under the Consumer Protection Act [Chapter 14:44] remain unaffected.

12. Changes to these Terms

Luxury Lane may update these website Terms for future bookings. The version supplied with or linked from an accepted quotation should govern that booking unless the parties agree otherwise in writing. Material changes do not retrospectively alter a confirmed agreement.
